Over time the efficiency of the UV sterilizer will start to diminish because the lamp degrades and will no longer putting out the same amount of energy and spectrum.  Replace your UV lamp and quartz sleeve once a year or every 10,000 hours will keep your IceCap UV Sterilizer working like new.

WARNING: Never look at a UV lamp when on. Doing so can severely damage your eyesight.
